The application of nitrile rubber in various industries is different. There is no clear definition of its application in various industries. Nitrile rubber sheets have excellent oil resistance, so they are mostly used to make oil-resistant products, such as oil-resistant hoses, tapes, rubber rollers, rubber diaphragms, large oil bags, etc.; they are also commonly used to make various oil-resistant molded products, such as O-rings, oil seals, leather cups, seals, etc. In addition, it is also used in foaming materials, soles, etc. The editor roughly makes the following classification.

Foam material

Rubber-plastic insulation materials are suitable for the insulation of various cold and hot medium pipes and containers. Nitrile rubber foam has excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, and excellent thermal insulation, heat insulation, shock absorption, sound insulation, sealing, and fire resistance. Due to the good comprehensive performance of this material, it has been widely used in construction, home appliances, fitness equipment, textiles, medicine, shipbuilding and other industries.

Sealing products, hose

Sealing products account for a large proportion of the downstream applications of nitrile rubber, and are widely used in aerospace devices, transformers, mechanical parts, car O-rings, etc.; nitrile rubber hoses are widely used in coal, metallurgy, textiles, light industry, engineering machinery, construction, ocean, agriculture, aviation, aerospace and other fields. Among them, automotive accessories account for about 50% of the total consumption of nitrile rubber, mainly including fuel tank seals, oil pipelines, hydraulic hoses, engine shock absorbers, flame-retardant transmission belts, air conditioning seals, etc.

There is no obvious distinction between the grades of nitrile rubber used for hoses and seals. However, the raw materials required for seals have higher quality requirements for nitrile rubber sheets, and most of them are mid-to-high-end products. Mid-to-low-end products such as Russian nitrile rubber 2665 and 3365 are mostly used to produce hoses. Therefore, the grade of nitrile rubber required for production is mainly determined by the quality of the finished product.

Rubber Roller

The nitrile rubber roller has good oil resistance, wear resistance, aging resistance and heat resistance, and is generally used in printing, dyeing, papermaking, packaging and other equipment and other oil contact occasions. The proportion of nitrile rubber used in the manufacture of printing and dyeing rollers in my country's textile industry is relatively high, generally based on medium-low nitrile and high Mooney viscosity nitrile rubber.

In summary, some downstream product companies also mix two or more nitrile rubbers to save costs and improve the performance of raw materials. Affected by the different products produced in each region, the consumption of each brand of nitrile rubber in different regions is also different. For example, Russian nitrile rubber is generally used to produce hoses, and its usage in South China, where the quality requirements of finished products are relatively high, is relatively small. Lanhua 3305 has strong versatility, so it is widely used in North China, East China, and South China. At present, there are dozens of brands of nitrile rubber produced in my country, but most of them are concentrated in the middle and low-end positioning. There are fewer high-end products and special nitrile rubbers, and most of them rely on imports. Therefore, my country's nitrile rubber industry still has a large degree of room for improvement in this regard.
