As the global trend towards halogen-free intensifies, more and more companies are advocating halogen-free products. As a result, more and more organic halogen compounds will be regulated, making it urgent for companies to control halogens.

In response to market demand, our company has made corresponding product research and development. The research and development of halogen-free and environmentally friendly EPDM rubber also won the "Greatest Social Contribution Award" in the Second 6.18 Invention Competition of Fujian Province.

halogen

Non-metallic elements, including fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine;

The element symbols are F, Cl, Br, I, At, among which astatine is a radioactive element. Therefore, the halogens commonly referred to refer to fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine.

Common halogen compounds

Brominated flame retardants: Brominated flame retardants PBB, PBDE, TBBP-A, HBCDD, etc.

Chlorinated flame retardants: SCCP (short-chain chlorinated paraffin), MCCP (medium-chain chlorinated paraffin),

LCCP (Long Chain Chlorinated Paraffins), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), Polychlorinated Terphenyls (PCTs), Chlorinated Alicyclic Hydrocarbons, Tetrachlorophthalic Acid, Chlorinated Alicyclic Hydrocarbons, Tetrachlorophthalic Acid.

The halogens in plastic materials are mainly BFRs, CFRs, chlorine-based plasticizers, and other organic bromine and organic chlorine compounds such as pigment anhydride and hexabromododecane.

Refrigerants, fire extinguishers, cleaning agents, foaming agents, etching agents, etc. are mainly halogen compounds containing F, Cl, and Br.

Standards set by the International Electronics Industry Connectivity Association (IPC): (homogeneous materials)

Restricted Substances
Bromine (Br) Chlorine (Cl) Bromine (Br) + Chlorine (Cl) Fluorine (F) Stone (I)

PVC limit < 1000PPM, < 1000PPM, < 1500PPM, < 1000PPM, < 1000PPM Remarks The content of brominated flame retardants (except PBB and PBDE) in the total bromine in the homogeneous materials of printed circuit boards is recorded by weight. The content of brominated flame retardants (except PBB and PBDE) in the total bromine in the homogeneous materials of plastic parts is recorded by weight. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in homogeneous materials.
